Braemar Wedding

Sand in my pockets also does weddings.

My style is fairly relaxed and natural, reportage type photos, focusing on people but getting an overall impression of your day. I use natural light for most of my shots when available. I am not intrusive or bossy, but I am capable of organising the shots you need without taking over your day. I like to take images where people are really happy and not just posing for a camera. Weddings are abundant with happy faces so there’s no need to fake them.

Photography can start from the bride and groom getting ready and last until dancing the night away with friends and family.

Some brides like to have formal group shots and some don’t, its your call how much time you would like to spend on this. It’s your day.

I always recommend getting a few shots of the bride and groom alone. It allows you to spend a few moments together in what can be a very hectic day and couples are always very pleased by the results. These are often the images many like to display in their house and give to relatives.

Do think about the light when choosing a venue, as the more light a venue lets in the better the images. Also think about the time of day especially in winter when in the evenings there is not much light at all for photographs. Best of all, if weather allows, have as much of your ceremony, reception etc outside for totally awesome pictures!

In Britain we do have to be prepared for all weather occurring even in summer, but don’t fret if its not the brightest sunniest day. Photographs taken on cloudy days are much more flattering, and rain, although a pain, can make for some truly memorable images. I always bring a lovely white umbrella with me for brides to use if necessary, but feel free to choose your own and bring any other accessories you wish to be photographed with along.

After your wedding it will take me approximately 3-5 weeks to edit all of the images although I can put a few ‘taster’ images on facebook straight away if you would like. All of the images you receive are edited and are not ‘straight out of camera’. You will receive between 500 and 1000 high resolution professionally edited images on a USB stick. I provide all of the images in natural colour and additionally many of them in my black and white style and a toned vintage style for those photographs that it complements.

If you would like me to order professional prints for you and design an album I can also do that, please see my albums and products pages, but with the images on disk you are also welcome to do it yourselves.

I also work with a very talented second photographer if you would prefer a more comprehensive package and images from more than one viewpoint.

My prices are more affordable than others, but the results are no less professional. Please read the testimonials from other brides that I have photographed and don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m pretty easy-going and approachable.
